Jennifer & Aaron were married on April 30 at The Little Church of La Villita and followed up the celebration at Ray Ellison Auditorium.

I had the great pleasure of helping out a life-long family friend create a special day for her son and his wife to be...

she decided to take on the task of creating all the flowers and decorations on her own, as well as the grooms cake.

With our help and her amazing creativity they had a beautiful scenery of purples, lavenders and hot pinks illuminating all around.

Introducing Mr & Mrs Orr....

When I met Ashley she made the comment she wanted everything planned and ready to go ASAP...not to have any decisions left to last mintute... this was in July and everything was set to go in a matter of 8 weeks. A few things were added along the way but were minor.

The love story began when they met in high school and have been in love ever since... true high school SWEETHEARTS!!

They were such a fun couple. always laughing and smiling...I considered it a Treat to work with them.

The wedding consisted of amazing Food Stations created by Absolutely Delicious Catering, Beautiful Flowers by Oak Hills Florist, Awesome Ambinace created by Illuminating Celebrations which consisted of a great DJ service and Lighted Chandliers that changed colors throughout the night. And who else better to capture the memories on film than the GREAT - Still Life Photography by Alexandor Devora. The guest created their own memories with Locomotion Flip Book--which had an onsite photo booth where the guests were able to use props and have a blast making a unique memory.

Overall a great couple with great memories...

Eliza & David 11-13-10

Eliza and David have to be one of my most memorable couples ever! I fell in love with Eliza the moment she sat at the table with me. Eliza has this huge heart of GOLD and her beauty is truly inside and out.

When Eliza tells me she has only 3 months till her wedding, the look on her face was fear because nothing was planned except the venue. I looked at Eliza and told her everything would be fine and I had no doubt that I could still make her wedding dreams come true.

Everything was AMAZING! With an evening ceremony at the San Fernando Cathedral, the night had just begun. Along with Mr. & Mrs. Volk, the wedding party entered the Weston Center by river barge. As they cruised down the river walk it was like they had their very own river parade with onlookers yelling their Congratulations to them.

As they arrived at the Weston Centre the Mariachis greeted them & the party came to life.

After an amazing dinner provided by A Gala Catering the party was just about to start. David (the groom) even took the party into his own hands by joining his band in a JAM session by playing the drums! The guests LOVED it!!

By the end of the night it was so hard for me to see them leave for their honeymoon, for I felt we had such a connction in the sense not only was I parting with another client but a new family member.

CONGRATULATIONS again, David and Eliza!!

ps) I will be waiting for the call for a baby shower!!

Santa brought me my Christmas gift a little early this year. It was the best gift GOD could have given my family. Tiny little Brandon Anthony.

My little Brandon blessed our lives 12/10/10. He was 5lbs 10oz ( very tiny) and 18.5 inch.

Still Life Photography by Alexander Devora shot the most amazing pictures of my family and we can't thank them enough. They captured this very special moment in my life, it is very special to me. Thank you again Alex and Barbara!

A Wedding Fit For A Queen

Saturday, October 23rd we held our first wedding at the breathtaking JW Marriott Resort and Spa. Christina and Odie finally tied the know after sharing 19 years together! I have been working on this wedding with Christina for 10mts and I she told me "I want to feel like a Princess" well when I took Christina and Odie into the ballroom I asked her if I captured that for her. "She said No, I feel Like A Queen!!" as she cried and jumped for joy!!

I knew I did a great job when I looked at there faces and they where crying in together. It was extremely a heart filled moment for me. At that point I knew once again this is where GOD wants me and to be here for all these couples.

The JW Marriott was amazing and a HUGE thanks goes out to Tammy and all her help making this all come to life. Most of all I want to thank from the bottom of my heart is my mother and her amazing team with Oak Hills Florist did an incredible job in all the flowers.

Absolutely Perfect!

Meet Eliza & David

They will be married November 13, 2010 at the breathtaking San Fernando Cathedral and reception to follow at Weston Center.

When I met with Eliza she was so overwhelmed with the planning process and just vented her heart out to me. I was so glad that I could come in and help her and have the opportunity to make this wedding become a reality to her.

How they met:

Their meeting was very unique! Eliza being the care free person she is had accumulated a TON of traffic tickets over years. When she could not renew her driver's license she decided to find a lawyer to help her get out of this mess. She looked in the phone book and Internet for a lawyer and came across the name "David Volk". She thought to herself that sounds like a strong man's name. She made her appointment to meet Mr. Volk at his office.

It turns out David got stuck in court for a child custody hearing when her appointment was scheduled. He had asked Eliza to come back in 2hrs. Well in the meantime Eliza decided to spend her time and money at North Star Mall and Eliza did not return to meet David. David tried emailing and contacting her but it never took place.

On Sept. 23 2008 David and friends where out having a drink when Eliza and her friend happen to walk by. David and Eliza's friend made eyes at each other, and before you know it David & Eliza where face to face stuck talking. Eliza asked him his name and she said "I know you David..."Seeing how beautiful she was David was in shock to think he had met this women and could not remember her" Then the name Eliza came to mind.. "Eliza!!"

Needless to say Eliza now has no tickets and her divers license cleared up and the rest is to come.

A Tasting with the JW Marriot

Yesterday we went to do our tasting for Tina & Odie's amazing wedding at the breathtaking JW Marriott...

Everything so so delicious and the display was out of this world.. It was so pretty I did not want to eat it! We all know I just had to, and the steak was so tender I was just amazed.

We picked out a great menu and will leave some guest very surprised!! At one point Tina and her sister and I where all crying over food!! WELL...ok the thought of all of it really, but it was that delicious!

Special thanks to all the JW Marriott team in making this one major step to one perfect wedding.

I have spend several day with Ashley and we are just having a blast! She is such a beautiful person inside and out. I am truly blessed to have her as a bride. "I think she had me at Hello" at the January wedding show.

The first day I took Ashley to view some venues. She just fell in love with the very 1st place I showed her. After seeing this amazing glow that she had when we where walking through. She just knew this was the place. So we just canceled the other appointments and got this wedding in the works.

2010 Wedding Fair

This years Wedding Fair was wonderful. A lot of vendors really out did them self and showing there true work. I was so impressed with every one's wonderful booths.

I went with a cobalt blue linen from my personal fav. BBJ Linens and white and green flowers from Oak Hills Florist. We had some crystal chandeliers in the front that where major eye catching and brides just LOVED them! Thanks Raphael for helping me with those.

Shows are always a lot of work and money, but in the end, we are very grateful to get the chance in meeting some wonderful couples. We hope to hear from them soon!

Loved this tall cylinder with crystals hanging from the vase and roses, orchids, and callas and much more!

This was such a fun arrangement.

The ultimate bouquet in my eyes. Any bride that want elegance say it with this. It was so pretty and had ton of compliments on it. I have one bride that made that her bouquet for her big day!!

Sandra was such a beautiful bride to work with. She was one of the most caring, loving, sweet brides I have ever come across. I loved working with her. She had come to wishing for a June wedding. I thought I was cut short on that time. Then 2 days later she calls and wants a November wedding. Meaning that was 5 weeks away from this point.

So what to do but just make it all happen. Two days after Thanksgiving Sandra and Jayson where now Mr. & Mrs. Cortez.

Ceremony and Reception was held at Paesanos 1604 and the service and food was amazing. I could not have more happier with it all. When Jayson tells me White & Black, and nothing else RED but my shoes I knew what he wanted. It was very romantic and sleek. LOVE IT! I call BBJ who has some amazing linens with the black & white scheme. It all went off perfectly!

Jayson and Sandra must have danced 95% of the whole reception time. They all had a blast!

Sandra & Jayson signed up for a bride & groom picture session. The pictures came out great thanks to ARA Photography! Very Nice Work!

At Last! Good friends of mine Odie & Christina are going to tie the knot after 17+ years together!! All I say is "It's about time!!"

Mr. & Mrs. Noah Cerda

On Saturday October 17, 2009 my baby cousin tied the knot to Mr. Noah Cerda. It was the first wedding I can say I cried. I always get a bit teary eyed but this was tears.

Heather and Noah met working together at Outback Steak House. I can remember when she first told me about how much she really liked him, but he did not know it yet. Then the day I gave birth to my son, Heather comes in the delivery room and tells me that they are officially together. She was glowing right next to me with my joy.

After help planning a wedding 200miles away, I think we got it just right. Heather changed her colors on us about 5 times, but I think the teal was wonderful. We added pops of oranges, yellows, dark purples. Then brought in branches and mosses to bring the outdoors into our decor. It was so pretty! I love it!

The wedding was absolutely breath taking! It was amazing and relaxing in it's very own way. The views of tress and lakes and cozy cabins. The weather could not have been more perfect!

After driving the decor,linens for 5 hours it all came together and most of all Heather made a beautiful bride. As I stood there getting her together I looked at her and still remembering when she was just a little girl! It was hard to realize that she was this beautiful women in front of me about to get married. Let's just say Noah is just lucky that I like him!! He is a great guy who ardors her.

People always ask me what is my favorite thing about weddings. I think one of them is the face on the groom when he first looks at his bride. He looked at her with all confidence but true joy! I have seen a lot of grooms and this one was pure love!

Everyone at the wedding had a good time and Mr. & Mrs. Noah Cerda had a glow of happiness!

You have my blessing and wish you nothing but happiness!

P.S. I will be there for your first baby too!! Love you!!

Ok! I will be very honest here! When I have a bride come to me and tell me that she want Pumpkins, oranges, etc in her wedding, my teeth start to grind.

It normally just does not make me fall into excitement! So what do I do? I find things to make it work and still accomplish class and helps me walk away with a set feeling.

On June 27, 2009 Jennifer & Elias Harrington tied the knot at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and then celebrated at AT&T Community Centre at San Fernando.

Jennifer had been waiting for this day for a long time and was very anxious the whole time up untill the last minute when I got her down the aisle.

Everything came out so wonderful and all the guests had a wonderful time. With endless desserts made by Jennifer's aunt, to the candy buffet and to top it off with lots of wedding cake. I know had a sweet tooth filled for a while. Everything was delicious!

While teaching in China for the summer, hiking to Great Wall, and watching Olympic Games. On Jennifer's birthday Elias stopped on evening on a beautiful bridge and got down on one knee and asked Jennifer for her hand in marriage. " It was the PERFECT closer to out trip" Jennifer said.

I did my very first candy table for a wedding back in July 2008. The bride was a candy freak. So we included it in her wedding. Little did I know that it was going to turn into this HUGE hit around the world with brides. Then every bride I have had since wants " Candy Bar".

Today I received my first SCAM attempt ( I guess people can find me) I received a email from a UK bride that is looking for a "Good Wedding Planner". Needing me to plan everything from, photographers, video, locations, food, and much more. She is looking to spend about $25,000 on a guest count for about 50. She wants the ceremony and reception in one location wanting a June 13, 2009 wedding. The couple will not even make an appearance until 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

I did as I always do and respond to the bride and ask more questions and see what I can do for her. Then as I was logged on she IM'd me. So we chated a little more about what she wanted and when I asked her about payments she then proceed to tell me her fiance will send me a money order or figure out how he wants to do that. I sent her a copy of our contract and told her to look over it and let me know if any questions. I thought about how would I feel comfortable with payments from over seas. I told her it had to be made Wired Over, or through Pay Pal. ( I usually take other methods of payments) I continue to think to myself something was wrong. But then I thought just maybe it is not.

I get all the ball to call my "FAV" photographer and she begins to out a red flag up as well. Then she told me about this scam she has heard of etc. For me to be VERY careful! That other local wedding consultants did get scammed with this. That they are having a huge issue getting out of this mess.
I then proceeded to google away at her emails and found another posting on it, that it is a huge scam and they are hitting up consultants and vendors all over the place.

My advice to you is to be very careful,

Hello, How are you doing? Thriving!!! My name is Jessica Farrell , from Enfield in middlesex UK (England ). I will be coming to TX afte my shopping trip with my Husband David Rodin who's French by nature to start his new work with the Coca-cola Co. in San antonio . And just before then we will be getting married on the 13th of June , 2009. We need a good wedding planner to take care of our wedding both reception and ceremony. We require the best for the best memories for we & our children in future and as a matter of fact we have budgeted 25000$ for this special event.

Also, the ceremony and reception event will be taking place in a location and we are expecting at most 50 guests on the day of our occassion because most of our families in Europe and in the United Kingdom will be present for the occassion.

Also, we would like you to know the reception and ceremony will be taking place @ 1 location which the ceremony event would be in a garden location or outdoor while the reception takes place indoors, we are still about to make reservation though but we are making progress with that. This is a list of Vendors we will be needing for our event; a photographer , a videographer, an MC, a florist, a make up artiste for all the ladies in the bridal party and myself, caterer, cake, a DJ , invitations for our US guests, save the dates and we are expecting at most 50 guests . Our theme colors are Light pink and Royal blue . Our total budget is $25,000.00 , ok .

Our entertainment band will be coming in from Republic of South Africa , It's a french coupe de calien band, they're marvelous.

Also, we would like you to know we prefer the reception and ceremony to take place in a location for the convenience of our guests and would love the ceremony to be in a garden setting and the reception in an indoor location in San antonio or surrounding areas because the weather is unpredictable at this time of the year.

We would like to know how much you'll need to make our day a wonderful one as we will only need you to work within our budget to prevent any disappointment or breech in agreement in future, we just need to know the exact amount you require to be sure the planning cost is within our budget and then we can start making arrangements for your deposit needed for you to get started?

Elsa and Richard our my two amazing musicians that have been planning this wedding for over 2 years. The couple had a vision that would describe there personalities which we found no better place then The Scottish Rite Temple & Library. With perfect acoustics what is any better place then that for a lavish Oprah Singer! On March 14th at 3:00 in the afternoon, Elsa finally became Richard's wife!!

The wedding was absolutely amazing! With celadon green and shades of purple along with the ambiance of the whole reception venue .

As the father of the bride went to grab his daughter hand to walk her down the isle, he made it known to me that he was not EVER giving her away. That she would always be his little baby. So when Mr. Humphrey handed her off to the groom I cried like a baby!

The couple and guest had a wonderful time. With all the beautiful decor by Oak Hills Florist the night was hit off with a amazing Jam Session. The grooms father a well know JAZ musician here is great SA "Richard Garcia" along with "Joe Jamma" and several other jazz members that pulled off a amazing performance. The guest could not get enough, they danced all night long!

I wish you nothing but happiness and remember put it on Red for me in VEGAS!!

We would like to welcome out newest member to the team Joanne.

Joanne has been working in the food & beverage and catering industry for over 4 years now.

Joanne has always wanted to pursue career in the wedding coordination industry.

Working in some really high end hotels and events and weddings she is ready to learn and perspire in the industry

With plans on getting married in the very near future, she is will be learning the ropes to make her wedding exactly what she wants. As for now our prayers and support goes out to her fiance that is in Afghanistan fighting for our country.

She had helped plan events including bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and weddings of her very close friends ( which will be her own blissful day someday soon). Originally born in Monterrey, Mexico, Joanne has moved around in place such as New York and Houston, she has decided to make San Antonio her home.

Wedding Etiquette Q&A

As a wedding consultant it never fails I get approched with question regarding wedding etiquette. Which a lot of people are very surprised on what should really be done and not when planning a wedding.

Going through a few off the top of my head that I have been asked latley by some of my brides.

Q: Can and and should I inculuded my wedding registry cards in my wedding invitions and if not how will I let people know?

A: The only way to let people to know is to tell them. By word of mouth. Just let family, close friends know and the word will get out. If you just can not resist then put them in your shower invitaions, do not put them in your wedding invitions.

Q: When do I mail the wedding invitaions out? I want to make sure everyone gets it in time?

A: The rules regarding wedding invitation etiquette dictate that invitations aren’t sent out too far in advance, but they shouldn’t come at the last minute either. You want your guests to have enough time to plan for the wedding and make any necessary travel arrangements. You don’t want to send the wedding invitations out too far ahead of time, either. Invitations can be sent out as early as eight weeks and as late as one month. Any later than that would be considered very bad etiquette. Six weeks is about enough time to mail the invitations and receive responses.

Q: I do not get along with my fiance's sisters. Do they have to be in the wedding party?

A: No, they don't have to be. This issue -- having your intended's siblings of the opposite sex stand up for you -- really depends on the specific family. In some, it's completely expected and they'll be mortally wounded if you don't ask. In others, unless you're best friends, they would be surprised if you asked (it might be nicer for them to spend the day with their family than with your attendants). Of course, just because his family (or yours) expects the wedding to be any certain way doesn't mean it has to be that way.
If you don't currently get along well, not asking his sisters could make your relationship worse if they feel snubbed. Like it or not, they're going to be your sisters-in-law very soon. If you really don't want them as attendants because you want your sisters and close friends instead (and rightfully so, especially if you're having a small wedding party -- you can just explain it that way), have them do readings during the ceremony or stand up on your fiance's side. These days, your sex no longer defines whether you're a bride's or groom's attendant. They can wear the same dresses as the maids, dresses they choose themselves, tuxedo-inspired outfits, or even tuxedos, depending on everyone's sense of humor.
The bottom line: There's no rule that his siblings have to be in the wedding party. But leaving them out might not be a good precedent to set.

Outcome of the Bridal Open House

Our Bridal show came out amazing. After all the hard work from all the vendors it came out beautiful and food was delicious. I had nothing but compliments and praise.

We got a chance to meet some wonderful couples who have big plans and that is what we are here for. To help make it all happen. I look forward in meeting more with them and helping create and make their wedding dreams come true.

I was truly Happy with the way it all came together and the event was a hit. Look forward to the next one this fall!

Well hello,

I am so excited!! This is my very first blog to share with you what is going on with my business and all about the weddings.

First off I just want to take time to reflect over this past year. It has been absolutely amazing!! I had a dream that all this would happen but now that it is a reality. I don't know where to start giving thanks.

To all the couples that gave me the wonderful opportunity to help make their weddings dreams come true. To my husband who helps me survive these weddings. I could not do it without you. To my family that is there 100% supporting me and helping in every way you can. Most of all I thank GOD who gave me the strength and gift to do all of this.

It has been an amazing year and I look forward to many many more!
